Listen for Cia in the new Helheim Hassle video game!

I’m so excited that I’m part of the newest game from Perfectly Paranormal, Helheim Hassle! If you haven’t played it yet, Helheim Hassle is a narrative adventure game with puzzle platforming elements. It happens on the same day and in the same universe as Manuel Samuel, continuing their “Tuesday Triology” of games. Here’s a summary of the gameplay from Kirstie Summers of purenintendo.com,

“You play as pacifist Viking Bjørn who dies trying to avoid the chaos of battle. After tumbling off a cliff, you land on and crush a bear, which sends you to Valhalla as the hero who bare-handedly defeated a grizzly. Many centuries later, you are resurrected. It’s then up to you to find your way to Helheim, the more peaceful afterlife you’ve always wanted.

To achieve this, you have to solve a series of puzzles that lay in your path. You do this by detaching your head and limbs from your body in order to reach buttons and levers that open doors allowing you to progress.”

I had so much fun working on this game. Writer and director Ozan Drøsdal, led the voice sessions and he was so much fun to work with. He clearly has a joy and a passion for what he does and I think it comes out in the game. I think the voice actors had a lot of fun with him (I know I did), and I think that comes out in the game, too. I play a handful of characters, and I really got to explore the full spectrum of my vocal range, from deep-throated Erica Thundermuscles to high-pitched dragon kids. And then there’s Bjørn’s mom…

“…the actors generally perform well, with some contributing laugh-out-loud funny moments. A standout for me was when Bjørn’s mom drops her voice to a low, guttural growl to announce her eagerness to get slayed by a giant.”
— Bryce O'Connor, Adventure Gamers

I mean, who isn’t eager to get slayed by a giant, amirite? Hmm? No, just Bjørn’s mom? Oh, okay then. Well, I’m pretty eager to play this game and hopefully you are too! Tell me about your favorite moments or point me to your playthrough videos in the comments!
